Landed in Muscat we meet the guide and we move to the hotel. Free dinner.Hotel scheduled for days 1, 5 Al Falaj Hotel
The morning is dedicated to Muscat. We visit the great mosque of Sultan Qaboos, an example of Omani architecture and the museum of Bait Al Zubair which houses traditional Omani objects. We set off towards Wadi Shab (or alternatively Wadi Tiwi), one of the most spectacular wadis in Oman, with the possibility of taking a bath in the natural pools. We have lunch with a travel basket during visits. In the afternoon, we arrive in Ras Al Jinz, the protected turtle nature reserve. At night, with the explanations of an ecological guide we can admire the turtles and the stages of nesting or hatching of the eggs (according to the season). After breakfast we visit the Dhow Building Yard, a shipyard specializing in the construction of typical local wooden boats. We reach Wadi Bani Khalid, an oasis with a natural basin for picnic lunch and for those who want a bath in the warm turquoise water. On board 4x4 jeeps we then head towards the Wahiba Sands desert, admiring the expanse of red dunes that reach even 200 meters in height. After witnessing the sunrise, we leave the desert and return on board the bus, in the direction of Nizwa. Along the way we stop at the pre-Islamic fort of Balah, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco; in Jabrin we visit the castle built by Imam Sultan bin Bil’Arab as his secondary residence. We continue to the village of Al Hamra mud houses, one of the best preserved ancient villages in Oman. Once in Nizwa we have dinner in freedom.Hotel scheduled for day 4 Tanuf Residency hotel
We visit Nizwa, the historic center surrounded by an oasis of palm trees at the foot of the Hajar mountain. We go to discover the fort and its watchtower and visit the livestock market to live an experience with a unique atmosphere. Let's go to the discovery of Birkat al Mouji, with its banana plantations and the Falaj, irrigation systems that have become UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Once in Muscat we have lunch in a local restaurant and in the afternoon we visit Muttrah and its colorful souk. We have dinner in freedom.
We say goodbye to Muscat with some recent visits: the Royal Opera House, a gallery exhibiting high quality local crafts and the House of Amouage perfume factory. Transfer to the airport and flight to Dubai. Upon arrival, the transfer to the hotel in Dubai awaits us, dinner is free.Hotel scheduled for days 6, 7, 8, 9 Towers Rotana Hotel
Let's go to discover this unique and spectacular metropolis. Crossing the historic district of Bastakiya, we move to the ancient fort of Al Fahidi, with the Dubai Museum. Not far away we embark on an Abra, the traditional wooden boat, to cross the Creek and go to visit the Spice Souk and the Gold Souk. After lunch in the restaurant we continue with visits to the modern part of the city by climbing to the tallest building in the world, 'Burj Khalifa'. We continue to Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah, the man-made island that has become a powerful symbol of the emirate. In the evening we climb on a traditional wooden Dhow vessel and sail in the Dubai Marina, admire the skyline, enjoying a buffet dinner.
We have a free morning to visit the city independently or participate in some optional excursions proposed on site. Lunch is free. In the afternoon we go to discover another fascinating aspect of the Arab Emirates: the Desert. We start with 4x4 jeeps towards the golden sand dunes. Arrived on the desert we stop on the highest dune to admire the sunset, we continue to the Bedouin camp where a barbecue dinner with Arab music and dancing awaits us.
We leave for Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. We begin our visit to Abu Dhabi with the magnificence of the Grand Mosque, one of the largest in the world. We have lunch in a local restaurant and after passing through the enchanting Corniche we arrive at the Heritage Village, specially designed to remind the past of the new generations. Later we move to the futuristic Louvre Museum; the explanations of the guide begin outside, with free time to visit the interior individually. The day ends with a guided tour of the Qasr Al Watan residential building, with its sumptuous interiors and a photo stop at the Emirates Palace. We return to Dubai where dinner is free.
Based on the flight schedule, we move to the airport in Dubai for the return.
